What to Expect?

2. On-Site Assessment – A structured, efficient audit based on your selected focus areas.

4. Further Support – Option to request a separate Action Plan to address key areas.

Mock Inspections
A mock inspection gives care providers the opportunity to experience what a real CQC inspection feels like — but in a supportive and constructive way.
Unlike an audit, which focuses on checking compliance against policies, procedures and documentation, a mock inspection replicates the approach and style of a genuine CQC visit. It can be unannounced, carried out across a full day, and led directly by me as it would be in practice.
During the day, I will:
- Observe care and speak with staff, residents, and relatives (where possible).
- Review documentation and evidence in the same way an inspector would.
- Assess the service against the Key Questions (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well-led).
- Provide honest, constructive feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
The goal is not just to highlight gaps, but to prepare your team with confidence, so they understand what to expect and how to evidence the quality of care they deliver.
A mock inspection is a realistic, hands-on test of readiness, helping you identify improvements early and approach your CQC inspection with reassurance.
Manager Support & Supervision
Effective leadership lies at the heart of delivering outstanding care. Our Manager Support & Supervision service is designed to equip leaders with the skills, confidence, and strategic insight they need to guide their teams and maintain a well-run, compliant environment. We work closely with managers at all levels—newly appointed leaders, or experienced professionals facing new challenges.
Short term interim management support:
Temporary, hands- on leadership and oversight available for services facing immediate challenges. Ideal for bridging gaps, maintaining compliance and ensuring continuity especially during transitional periods such as the recruitment and onboarding of a new manager. Please be advised this is subject to availability.

Crisis Support
When unexpected challenges arise, you need immediate, practical solutions. Our Crisis Support service is designed to help care providers respond effectively to difficult inspections, sudden compliance failures, or urgent regulatory issues. Drawing on extensive experience in hands-on management and regulatory oversight, we move quickly to identify the root causes of your crisis, create a clear, actionable improvement plan, and provide ongoing guidance until the situation stabilizes.
