Our Services
At Natalie Mepham Registered Care Consultancy, our goal is to help care providers strengthen leadership, governance and the quality of care they deliver. Drawing on extensive hands-on experience across the care sector, we provide practical, tailored support to residential, nursing and domiciliary services. Whether you need assistance preparing for inspection, strengthening governance, mentoring your management team or navigating a period of change, we work alongside you to deliver sustainable improvements that build confidence and achieve positive outcomes for the people you support.

Compliance Audits
Our Compliance & Quality Audits provide a focused, independent review of the areas that matter most to your service. Unlike a mock inspection, these audits are guided by your priorities, allowing you to choose the areas you would like reviewed. Whether you need support with governance, medication management, care planning, leadership or another aspect of your service, every audit is tailored to your individual needs and designed to support continuous improvement.

Mock Inspections
A mock inspection provides care providers with the opportunity to experience what a CQC inspection feels like in a supportive, realistic and constructive way. Unlike an audit, which is guided by your chosen areas of focus, a mock inspection is independently led and replicates the approach and methodology used by CQC. It is designed to assess your service as if an inspection were taking place, giving you an honest picture of your strengths, areas for improvement and overall inspection readiness.
What the inspection may include:
-
Observation of care and interactions
-
Discussions with staff, residents and relatives (where appropriate)
-
Review of documentation, records and evidence
-
Assessment against the current CQC assessment framework and relevant Quality Statements
-
Honest verbal and written feedback with practical recommendations
The scope and duration of a mock inspection will depend on the size, complexity and risk profile of your service. Larger nursing homes, multi-unit services and services supporting people with complex needs may require more than one inspection day to allow for a sufficiently robust assessment.
What to expect
-
Initial discussion to understand your service.
-
Independent on-site mock inspection.
-
Detailed feedback and written report.
-
Optional ongoing consultancy to support improvements.
